Meru is actually a Wingly who set out on her own to find out about Humans and what they were like. However, because of that, she was banned from her home, the Forest of Winglies. She is shunned by many Winglies.
[edit] Aquiring the Spirit
The one that has owned the Blue-Sea Dragoon Spirit was Lenus. The group fought and killed Lenus at Prison Island. During the last moments of her life, the dragoon spirit flew up high. Then, after Lenus died, the spirit flew down to Meru, choosing her as its new master.
Meru is in awe when she first received the spirit. She had already been feeling slight kinship with Lenus as they were both Winglies and to receive her spirit was in a way sisterly. Meru had also watched her companions and their powers and to now be one of them brought her great joy.
Naturally, Meru replaced this awe with excitement and her victory dance lasted longer that her friends were willing to stay for. She had to run after them to catch up.
Meru desires to use this power to protect the world found to exist outside the forest of her youth. She also wishes to free the world from a predetermined fate and let everyone co-exist together with no hate or prejudice.
The one that had the spirit before Meru and Lenus was Damia.

The Blue Sea Dragoon has the most balanced set of skills in the game, with one healing spell, one attack all spell, and two single attack spells. Plus, since the base magic of the Blue Sea Dragoon is high, the spells do quite a bit of damage. The physical attack damage percentage is raised a lot in this Dragoon, since the main character isn't exactly the strongest attacker. Basically, if you learn to use this Dragoon right, you can see her worth.
Freezing Ring
This spells attacks one enemy. Meru summons a ring of ice around her and directs it towards the enemy. It creates an shard of ice around the enemy which shatters and damages them.
Freezing Ring is an Water STR 50% spell and costs 10 MP. It is obtained at Dragoon Level 1.
Rainbow Breath This is a healing spell for all allies. Meru dances to summon a colourful downpour that heals the party of damage and status aliments.
Rainbow Breath costs 20 MP. It is obtained at Dragoon Level 2.
Diamond Dust This spell attacks all enemies. Meru creates ice around the enemy while at the same time creating an energy blade. The ice encases the enemy while the blade shatters the ice to damage them.
Diamond Dust is a Water STR 50% spell and costs 30 MP. It is obtained at Dragoon Level 3.
Blue-Sea Dragon This spell attacks one enemy. The Blue-Sea Dragon creates a water spout the enemy gets caught in.
Blue-Sea Dragon is a Water STR 100% spell and costs 80 MP. It is obtained at Dragoon Level 5.

[edit] Chapter 2: The Platinum Shadow
The group heads into the town of Donau. After asking the Mayor a few things and agreeing to help save his son the group heads out and see a girl fighting off bandits. The bandits run off and she and Dart meet. They ask for names and she says her name is Meru. The group says it'd be a good thing for her to join them because they need someone who knows the place, the Valley of Corrupted Gravity. She tags along and helps them by guiding them. They have to head to Fletz and talk to King Zior. The guard says no one can pass so she does some perky stuff to get them through but fails. They ask Fester for help and they go in. They head in and Dart and Albert ask if they can go through the Valley of Corrupted Gravity. The king lets them so they go. They head in and the entire place has gravity corrupted like the name. Rocks flying everywhere or just floating and time warps in some areas. Meru thinks its not that bad but gets hit by a floating rock. The group makes their way through and then meet up with something bad, Virage II, this guy is more complete than the prior form. Shana feels sick and asks Dart if they can leave. The group still decides to go through. They fight the Virage and win victory against it. Shana has a moment again in which she throws a powerful light that takes it out. The Virage is sent flying down. The group waits a bit to take a rest and most of them talk about Shana. Then they head on to Home of Gigantos. Hachel is asked to stay behind after he feels a little down. Meru decides to stay with him. So, Dart, Shana, Albert, and Rose go off to the other pathway. Hachel gets up and sneaks up behind Meru and knocks her out. He then runs off up the temple thing. The group comes back and Dart asks what happened. Meru gets up and says something hit her and surprised she says it must have taken Hachel. The group runs up the temple and head into it. Here they find Hachel confronting Gehrich. The group fights him and wins but Hachel gives off a powerful punch that is really fatal. The punch is also so strong that the roof collapses. Kongol comes in and saves everyone. Kongol tells you he is no longer enemy and wants to join your group. Gehrich says that the Princess Emile they know of is a fake, the real one is hidden somewhere in the castle. He also says that the switch went off around half a year ago. The group then remembers, this was around the time Emile fell off her horse and suddenly changed personalities. The group takes off back to Donau and Lynn is getting married. Dart, Shana, and Meru watch and the flower thing will be tossed toward Shana. Either or, Shana can catch it or Meru. Meru jumps in and snatches it and says something like, looks like you and I are next Dart. Shana asks Dart what is that supposed to mean. Dart just shrugs. The group goes back to Fletz and head into the castle. Here the group has to avoid being seen by the guards. They make their way through and head into her sister's room. Lisa agrees to help and goes forth to her room. They try to find a secret pathway and Dart examine the photo of her. They get warped into a different world. There the REAL Princess Emile is asleep. Shana tries to use her dragoon spirit but it backfires on her. Rose explains that it can only be used during combat. They find a switch and rescue the princess. They head back to the Sun Room, where King Zior is handing down the Moon Dagger to the fake Emile. The fake Emile takes it and reveals her true form, Lenus. The group traps her and she fights them. The group fights this tough battle as she uses weird magical powers that are unknown to them. After the fight she agrees they are a challenge. She takes out wings of light and flies off, revealing she was a Wingly. She says she'll be giving this item to her love. The group then takes off to go retrieve the Moon Dagger. The group goes to Donau and head for the Queen Fury. On the Queen Fury, Meru is really, really bored. She wants to play a prank on Dart Feld. She rushes up to where he is at and covers his eyes and says, "Guess who?" Dart has a few choices he can choose. Dart and Meru talk about the journey and about Shana. After rounding up the rest of the group they watch on as a ghost ship crashes into their boat. In the Phantom Ship they search for things that are beyond human. Near the end of finding the mystery to this ship they find the Commander. He says that the Princess Louvia was killed by the Black Monster. Dart gets angry about it. The baby's nanny approaches Shana saying that the Princess Louvia lives. Shana is a bit confused. The ship then starts sinking so they head off the ship. Meru lets everyone pass but decides to pass herself before Rose and Dart. Rose makes it on board. Dart barely makes it on because Rose grabs his hand. Rose then says this looks really familiar. Dart commands to let go, but Rose says she won't let this happen again so both fall off the ship coming to a shock to the rest of the party. After that Rose and Dart head into Fueno and meet with the party. Meru is surprised to see them both. They head into a hotel and they begin teasing Rose and Dart about doing stuff to each other. Meru asks a question and then Hachel asks one. The group goes off to the Undersea Cavern and and cross a path that wasn't there before. They end up on Prison Island and meet Lloyd and Lenus. Lenus gives Lloyd the Moon Dagger and wants a prize from Lloyd now, get in bed with him. But this is interrupted when Dart and company come in. Dart and Albert tell him to give up. He then gives the group an invitation to Mille Seusae. Dart and friends then are left to fight Lenus who turns into the Blue Sea Dragoon. The group fights her and Regole. The group triumphs against them both. Lenus dies off saying that she did this all for Lloyd. Meru watches as Lenus dies off. After a while of conversing Meru gets the Blue Sea Dragoon spirit and is the new master of the Blue Sea Dragon. The group heads off back to Fueno and heads to Donau and then to Fletz for a party. Meru is in the middle of the dance floor dancing, she the grabs Dart and they dance together. Meru then asks if he should be with Shana. Dart says yeah but he can't find her. Rose then says to follow him. Rose points out to Shana and Dart and she talk a bit. Stars begin falling and they wish on them. Shana wishes for her dream to come true and Dart says it will because he wished the same thing. The two spill their first kiss. This ends Platinum Shadow.
