Myconido is an Earth-element based monster of which may be located within the Marshlands. Its Speed is among the highest in the game. Many creatures at the very start of the game have extremely high Magic Defense, presumably to guard against massive overkill, should players go back to early areas to see how much damage they can deal. But Myconid is a little ways on from that, closer to the middle of Disc 1, and yet it has one of the highest Magic Defenses. Presumably it is simply supposed to be tough against Dart's newly acquired Dragoon Magic.
Appearance[]
This small humanoid mushroom creature has a yellow and orange top with a white/tan body. It has a stronger recolored cousin enemy called the Toad Stool.
Battle[]
This is a pretty weak monster unless Lavitz (who is weak to earth) is in the party. The Myconid also has a better chance to avoid physical attacks.
- Hop - The Myconid hops up to one party member and spins, hitting them for physical damage
- Spore - The Myconid hops up to one target and release spores onto them for magic damage and a 50% chance to Poison them.
- Escape - The Myconid flees from battle when low on HP
